Few goodies..

I have a couple of things to show you today and a little story too. The first picture is a stamped image from the Stampin' Up! set called Happy Heart Day. I stamped it in Stazon Ink and Kassidee used the water brush to paint the image. She love to use the water brush now that we figured out how to use it. She loves to paint. I had workshop this past Saturday and she had to show all the ladies how to use the brush. She even had me hang her image on the board. She was so proud of what she did. She told me that she made this for the boy who lives across the street from us. He's 6 years older than her, but he doesn't mind playing with her sometimes. She bugs him a lot like a little sister would an older brother. Especially when his friends are over and she teases him about having a girlfriend. Now the this next card I made for my board to show off some of the new items Close to my Heart has to offer, plus I used the Stamp of the Month called Butterfly Wings. I also used some Fancy Cut Botanicals, Liquid Glass, and Prisma Glitter. It was a fairly easy card, but I think it needed some ribbon. Oh well, it still is alright. Hope everyone had a great weekend and no one in your families are sick. Kassidee and I have been passing it back and forth. She always thinks she has to drink after me and I tell her to just ask me for something to drink and I'll get it that way we can get over the CRUD.

Also to those of you that have a personal relationship with God, please pray for my brother-in-law's family. His Aunt lost her husband on Thursday night to a massive heart attack. He was only 49 years old. They have 2 daughters, luckily they are older and she is not left raising them by herself. We went to the funeral home last night and stood in line for 3 hours before we got to see the family. I'm sure today was especially hard on each of them. Thanks for listening to me and for your prayers.

Sketch Challenge and CBCC #29

Here's a little sketch card I made from Mary's sketch over at the On Life and Creating blog. Every week she has a sketch on Sunday to try and I thought I'd try it out this week. This is about the third time I've ever attempted a sketch challenge and I'm really beginning to like it.

Anyhoo, I thought I'd do the Created by Courtney Challenge this week also. It is to make something that is inspired by nature. It just so happens that this month's Stamp of the Month from Close To My Heart is called Butterfly Wings and I needed to make some samples for my board to show off this cute set. I have a workshop on Saturday and the ladies that usually come were crazy about this set every since the Spring catalog came out. I had a lot of fun with this card, because I tried to tissue stamp the butterfly and I didn't really like it so I took my blush and sweet leaf markers and did the outside of the butterfly, but then realized I didn't have a spring iris marker, so I took my blending pen and the ink pad and made my own marker. I have always had trouble using the blending pen because I never really knew how to use it, but it does come in handy when you don't have the marker you need. MOJO Monday on Tuesday!!!

I decided to try another Mojo sketch. This is Mojo Monday #77 only I did it on Tuesday! It was also a color challenge that I found on the Close To My Heart Bulletin Board. The colors are Blush, Sorbet, Goldrush, and Olive. What a color combo! It did turn out pretty good though. Hope everyone had a great Tuesday and I'll have more to show you tomorrow! Hope everyone had a great Monday. I'm off work tomorrow so I'll do my MOJO card then. My little girl is sick so I'll play nurse Mommy all day tomorrow too. Hopefully she'll feel to coloring and we can get her birthday thank you cards done. I just got some new Stampin' Up! stamps that are calling to be inked up. Have a nice night!

Mojo Monday #76 and Blog Candy to boot!!

This is my first attempt at a Mojo Monday Challenge and also a sketch. I wish I would have random stamped the crystal blue cardstock a little better so you could see more of the background butterflies. Anyhoo, I hope you like it. It went together fairly easy too. That is everything, but the bow. I'm not very happy with it. I think I'll have Maria Gurnsey teach me how... LOL!
